Regulation 5 of The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 requires every employer to have arrangements in place for; planning, organisation, control, monitoring and review of their preventive and protective measures. These arrangements are more commonly referred to as a Safety Management System.

As well as being able to create Safety Management Systems, Crystal Clear Safety can review them by conducting sample audits. The importance of audit in safety management is reflected in the fact the Health and Safety Executive published a guidance note on the subject, which famously features audit feeding in at every stage of safety management.

A sample audit would mean an auditor spending time, during normal operator hourly touring your business and observing, talking and checking that work is conducting in accordance with your processes and procedures. A report, including suggested actions, would then be provided.

Audits on specific processes are also available.
